Isle of Man police admit UK NCRS scam

The victim focused UK National Crime Recording  Standard requires a crime report to be logged and a crime recorded unless there is no credible evidence to the contrary immediately available at the time of the crime report.

A police officer is allowed to ask questions only to establish the facts but they do not conduct an investigation until after the decision to log a crime.

However, UK HMICFRS have been blocked by the Justice Minister and the Department of Home Affairs Chief Officer from conducting any inspection of crime recording.

Why?

It has taken nearly 2 years of investigative research to uncover that the UK NCRS standard was adopted by a previous Chief Constable and confirmed in a Tynwald debate but that it is quietly and secretly evaded in any police crime report filed by a public sector whistleblower.

The scam was finally admitted in a long email thread with the Isle of Man police.

It was impossible to deny after a Freedom of Information request revealed crime and no crime statistics did not include specific offences included in police crime reports.

Isle of Man crime statistics are not benchmarkable against UK crime statistics.

It follows that the Isle of Man Government appears to knowingly misrepresent lower crime levels by filtering out crimes that would be recorded by any UK police force with exactly the same police crime report.

By coincidence that helps poach trained and experienced but oblivious UK police officers to transfer to the Isle of Man at significant uncompensated cost to the UK Government and potentially deceives insurance and reinsurance companies into lower premiums for Isle of Man customers or risks a ban on Isle of Man customers if actuaries do not have trust and confidence in Isle of Man statistics.

What else is being concealed from voters and taxpayers?

We have to consider the possibility that the refusal of the Isle of Man Government Treasury to confirm insurance policy cost, scope such as exclusion of public sector criminal offences, any excesses and any unusual terms could conceal the existence of an unpublished anti-whistleblowing policy.
